Types of Angle
Right Angles, Obtuse, Reflex and Acute...

We've been busy working on angles this month. We've created an entirely new activity to help pupils learn about the types of angle, where they have to recognise the angles inside shapes and sort them in the Venn Diagram accordingly.

Circle Theorems

We've also created an activity to help pupils learn and use the circle theorems. In this 'practice test' pupils have to answer questions to gain a higher grade, up to an A*. All the questions are randomly generated and if pupils are struggling they can receive a hint to help them on their way.

Estimating Angles

We've written a lesson plan for introducing angles, to help students think about what angles actually are and how to estimate their size accurately.

To support the lesson we've also created a tool/game for the interactive whiteboard so that pupils can see how angles are created.

Interactive Tests

Finally, we've added lots more questions on Angles to our interactive tests. We now have a SATS style test for pupils working at Level 3-5 and a Foundation Test on Angles that covers work all the way up to Grade C.
