Recommended ICT Resource: Grid Algebra

Grid Algebra is a comprehensive package of interactive tools, worksheets, lesson ideas, games and activities that offer an alternative way of getting students to work on some of the most important ideas in number and algebra.

It contains a set of really nice lesson ideas that cover negative numbers, factors, multiples, factorising, writing algebraic expressions, simplification and the order of operations plus much more.

It's all based around the idea of making journeys around the times tables grid and how we can describe these journeys using number or algebraic expressions. The interactive tools would work nicely on the interactive whiteboard or in a computer lab, the worksheets are very pupil friendly and the lesson plans are clear and easy to use.
